It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS," based on the popular manga by Yuto Suzuki currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will be broadcast on TV Tokyo affiliates every Monday at midnight starting July 14th. It has also been announced that the band "Kroi" will be in charge of the original theme "Method."
The main PV was also released on YouTube, depicting a three-way battle between Sakamoto Taro and the Sakamoto Shoten crew, the special task force "ORDER" directly under the control of the Satsuren, and an escaped death row inmate unleashed by the mysterious assassin "X (Slur)." In the video, Sakamoto says, "As a father, there are times when I can't back down. I want to protect what's important to me with my own hands!", while "X (Slur)" says, "Welcome back, Sakamoto Taro. This is a step towards noble justice."
The story is about Taro Sakamoto, a former legendary assassin who runs a shop after retiring, who fights against assassins with his friends to protect his peaceful daily life with his beloved family... The film is popular for its spectacular battle scenes featuring unique characters.
The anime is also attracting attention for its star-studded voice actors, including Tomokazu Sugita as Taro Sakamoto, Nobunaga Shimazaki who was Sakamoto's subordinate when he was an assassin and can read other people's minds, and Ayane Sakura as Ayane Sakura, a former mafia member who now works at Sakamoto Shoten. The first season aired from January to March.
