[Oshi no Ko] "Children from all 47 prefectures" launched

It has been revealed that the "All Japan Project [Children of the 47 Prefectures]" has begun for the TV anime "Oshi no Ko," based on the popular manga serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). Characters from "Oshi no Ko" representing each of the 47 prefectures will appear, and the project will be developed to get people all over Japan to support the series. A special website, a project promotional video, and 14 original visuals representing the Kinki and Kyushu regions have also been released.

The company will develop merchandise featuring 47 original illustrations from each of the 47 prefectures, as well as collaboration products with local confectioneries. 47 videos, including newly recorded voiceovers, will be released on YouTube one after another. Oshi no Ko will also take part in festivals and events across Japan, including the Chayamachi Oshi Festival in Osaka, the Aomori Nebuta Festival in Aomori, and the Sendai Tanabata Festival in Sendai.

"Oshi no Ko " is a popular manga written by Aka Akasaka , who Kaguya-sama: Love Is War ", and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari , who is also known for " Scum's Wish ". It was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" from April 2020 to November 2024. It depicts the story of a twin brother and sister left behind by a genius idol named Ai, who suddenly dies. The younger twin, Ruby, admires her mother and enters the entertainment industry, while the older brother, Aqua, vows to take revenge on their biological father, who is believed to have accomplices in Ai's murder. The comic has sold over 20 million copies in total.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season from July to October 2024. The third season will air in 2026. The live-action adaptation has also been a hot topic.
