A special video of the dubbing of "Dive in Wonderland," the first Japanese animated feature film adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic Alice in Wonderland, has been released on YouTube. The video includes footage of the dubbing and comments from a host of voice actors, including Koji Yamamoto Nanoka Hara , who plays the main character Rise, Mica Kappei Yamaguchi, who plays Alice, Koji Yamamoto, Norito Yashima, Ryuichi Kosugi, Kappei Toshiyuki Morikawa, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Takahiro Yamamoto, Mayu Matsuoka, Shotaro Mamiya, and Keiko Toda.
After finishing the dubbing, Hara commented, "The dubbing was just so much fun. I'm looking forward to seeing how this mysterious and fascinating worldview will be portrayed in the video." Mamiya, who plays the secretary, commented on the film's theme, "The fantasy parts overlap with the subtleties of the hearts of people living in the modern world, and I was able to convey it in a life-size way." Matsuoka, who played the Queen of Hearts, said, "I'm happy that I was able to convey the rawness while keeping in mind the elegance."
The story is about a modern girl, Rise, who one day gets lost in Wonderland and meets Alice. The film will be directed by Toshiya Shinohara, who has worked on films such as "Nagi no Asukara," "Irozuku Sekai no Ashita Kara," and "Shiroi Sand no Aquatope," and produced by PAWORKS. It will be released on August 29th.
