In the third episode, Shinomiya Kaede (Non), a researcher at Teito University, announced a new type of pluripotent cell called iL cells. This is a groundbreaking discovery that surpasses the Ida cells of Professor Takasaki (Toshiyuki Toshiki) of the Institute of Histology, who won a Nobel Prize, and it has attracted worldwide attention as it is expected to revolutionize regenerative medicine.
However, a person calling himself "Kuroneko" exposes the fraud on social media. After Shindo airs his interview on "Newsgate," Kuribayashi (Inowaki Kai), who supports his research, is hospitalized after attempting suicide. Motohashi ( Shunsuke Michieda), a junior from his university days, sneaks into the lab to get evidence, but is found by Shinomiya.
Non's role as Shinomiya is one that has attracted attention as the discoverer of iL cells, but is torn between Kuribayashi and Professor Onodera (played by Mari Hanafusa). Non's excellent performance as a troubled female scientist drew rave reviews on social media, with comments such as "Today, a huge mountain moved," "Non-chan's vivid and vibrant personality really stands out," and "Non-chan's acting, captivating with her diverse expressions, was truly wonderful."
There were also voices pointing out the "senior-junior performance" with Mei Nagano, who also has experience as an exclusive model (Nicomo) for the preteen fashion magazine "nicola" (Shinchosha).
