It has been revealed that actor Myu Moriyama and comedian Hyoroku will be making a guest appearance in the second episode (April 29th) of the TV drama "Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective" (TV Asahi, Tuesday 9pm). The two, who rose to fame on the popular TBS variety show "Wednesday Downtown", will appear together in the same episode.
The theme of the second episode is the mystery of a strange illness. Moriyama plays Maki Mizuhara, a woman who is rushed to the hospital in a confused state with countless mysterious handprints on her arms, saying, "The water god is trying to kill me!" Hyoroku appears as a security guard who stands in the way of the main character, Takao Ameku (played by Kanna Hashimoto), who is trying to solve the mystery.
It was also announced that actress Yuki Saito will appear in the story, playing Machiko Mizuhara, a mother who is worried and upset about her confused daughter Maki.
The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Mikito Chinen, which has sold over 3.6 million copies in total and was adapted into a TV anime. This medical mystery is a buddy team consisting of Takao, a genius doctor with an extraordinary intellect and insight, and Yu Takanashi (played by Shohei Miura), an internist, who solves mysterious illnesses, murder cases, and even paranormal phenomena.
