To commemorate the April 18th release of the movie version of "Me & Roboco and Roboco," an anime based on the popular comedy manga by Shuhei Miyazaki currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), it has been revealed that the "Roboco Mugen Train" will be running for a limited time. Two trains, one each on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line and Tokyu Toyoko Line, will be hijacked, and the posters hanging from the train, above the windows, next to the doors, and all the monitors inside the train will be covered in Roboco.
There will also be a special carriage hijacked by Multiverse Roboco, voiced by such stellar voice actors as Masako Nozawa, Mayumi Tanaka, Shigeru Chiba, and Sumire Uesaka. There are five types of Multiverse Roboco special carriages: Roboco, Roboco (classic battle world line), Roboco (full-scale sci-fi action world line), Roboco (romantic comedy world line), and Roboco (Showa comedy manga world line). The Roboco Mugen Train will run on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line from April 16th and on the Tokyu Toyoko Line from April 22nd, until mid-May.
"Me & Roboco" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2020. Set in the year 20XX, when every household has a beautiful maid robot, the story depicts the comical daily life of Roboco, a maid robot with unconventional behavior, and Bond, a kind-hearted boy. The total number of copies of the comics published is about 1.5 million.
The TV anime aired from December 2022 to June 2023. The movie version, like the TV anime, will be directed by Heitaro Daichi, who is known for anime such as "Ojarumaru" and "Sexy Command Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san" and is also known as a "master of comedy anime."
