" Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 a.m. and others), the NHK Asadora drama starring Mio Imada , will air in the first half of the 2025 fiscal year. On April 12, we will look back on the second week, "Fushiawase-san Today" (April 7-11).
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In the second week, Nobu's (Nagase Yuzuna) father, Yutaro (Ryo Kase), dies, and her grandfather, Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida), a stonemason, injures his arm in a freak accident.
Nobu tries to do something about it by taking Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) to the Asada family home. He is turned away by Kamaji at first, but with the help of Hatako (Noriko Eguchi), Kusakichi starts a business baking "Anpan" (sweet bean buns) at the Asada family home. Meanwhile, the Yanai family receives a letter from Tomiko (Nanako Matsushima), who they haven't heard from in a while.
Taku goes to look for Tomiko for the sake of his younger brother Chihiro (Masataka Hirayama), who has a fever and wants to see their mother. His heart is filled with joy when he sees Tomiko's face for the first time in a long time, but Tomiko looks confused.
Nobu is restless and worried about Takashi who has disappeared. Hatako takes Nobu outside to sell the remaining Anpan. There, she sees Takashi collapsed on the street. As Hatako and Anpan look on, Takashi devours the bean-jam bun with gusto. With strength welling up from the bottom of his stomach, Takashi begins to walk powerfully. And so, the years pass in the blink of an eye... and so the story unfolds.
