The eighth episode of the NHK morning drama " Anpan " starring Mio Imada(General Asadora , Monday to Saturday 8:00am and others) was broadcast on Getsuku. In the episode, a voice actor from the anime "Soreike! Anpanman" (Nippon TV) made a surprise appearance, which became a hot topic among viewers.
In the eighth episode, "Yam-onchan" Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) makes Anpan at the Asada family home, promising to do so "just once." He makes a makeshift stone oven out of stones and bakes the Anpan, attracting the delicious smell and drawing in the neighbors.
"Wow, what a nice smell," said Oide Kako, who lives nearby. When Nobu's grandmother Kura (Miyoko Asada) said, "When you gave me an Anpan the other day, it cheered me up," Kako leaned forward and said, "If that's the case, I want to try it too." However, when she found out that an Anpan cost 10 sen each, she was surprised and said, "That's expensive!" and bargained, saying, "Please make it a little cheaper."
The role of Kako was played by Sumi Shimamoto, a voice actress from Kochi Prefecture. She is known for her roles as Nausicaä in the animated feature film "Nausicaa of the Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind ," Clarisse de Cagliostro in " Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro," and as the voice of Shokupanman in the "Soreike! Anpanman" series.
Shimamoto's appearance caught the attention of viewers, and "Shimamoto Sumi" temporarily became a trending topic on X. On social media, comments included "A big name in the voice acting world has appeared," "Shokupanman-sama!!," "You'll recognize her immediately by her beautiful voice!", "The woman in the dark kimono is Shimamoto Sumi?! Is she from Kochi Prefecture?!", and "Maybe we'll see more Anpanman voice actors appear like this in the future?"
