On April 8th, actress Ryoko Hirosue's agency, RH, reported Hirosue's arrest and issued an apology.
"Our company representative, Ryoko Hirosue, has been arrested," her agency announced. "On April 8th, she was involved in a traffic accident in Shizuoka Prefecture, and after being taken to the hospital, she temporarily panicked, resulting in injuries to medical staff," they explained.
"We would like to offer our deepest, sincere apologies for the great inconvenience and concern caused to those who were affected and to all those involved," the company said in an apology.
They continued, "As the matter is currently under investigation, we will refrain from disclosing details, but the individual will be refraining from all entertainment activities for the time being. We would like to once again apologize to all those involved and to the fans who support us on a daily basis for the inconvenience and concern caused. We will approach future responses with sincerity."
