It has been announced that the TV drama series "Inappropriately Too Much!" starring Sadao Abe, which aired on TBS in January 2024, will be broadcast as a special drama next spring.
The drama tells the story of Ogawa Ichiro (Abe), a Spartan-style middle school physical education teacher who accidentally travels from 1986 (Showa 61) to 2024, where he makes a series of remarks that are "inappropriate" in the Reiwa era and disregard compliance. This is a low-minded time-travel comedy that gives people in the Reiwa era who are bound by compliance an opportunity to think. It depicts people who live their lives to the fullest, "valuing their family" and "valuing their work," regardless of the era.
The series was produced by screenwriter Kudo Kankuro, who has produced many popular works such as "Ikebukuro West Gate Park," "Kisarazu Cat's Eye," and "Tiger & Dragon," teaming up once again with TBS producer Isoyama Akira.
In the final episode of the drama series, the time machine bus stopped working and Ichiro returned to the Showa era. Meanwhile, Professor Inoue (Hiroki Miyake) from the future appears before Ichiro and invites him into the time tunnel, saying, "Let's go to any era you like!"
The special drama to be broadcast next spring will depict the aftermath of the serial drama. Will Ichiro, a Showa era man who has been able to travel to any era he likes, stir up people again with inappropriate remarks when he travels back in time? All the cast members from the serial drama will also appear. Details of the special drama's story and cast will be announced in the future.
