It has been revealed that "Minecraft: The Movie" (directed by Jared Hess, scheduled for release on April 25th), the first live-action film based on the world of the popular game "Minecraft," will be screened in large format, including 3D and 4D, in addition to the usual 2D release.
New US art was also released featuring cast members and popular characters. The 4DX art shows Jason Momoa as Garrett, a former gaming champion, and Jack Black as Steve, wielding pixelated weapons. Other visuals include characters from the game, like a creeper that explodes when it approaches, and a rare pink sheep.
Minecraft is a game where players can freely create and adventure in a virtual space made up of 3D blocks, and in 2023, global sales exceeded 300 million copies. The film depicts the adventures of four men and women, including the protagonist Steve (Black) and former top gamer Garrett (Momoa), who are transported to the mysterious world of Minecraft, where they can create anything they can think of, after touching a mysterious glowing blue cube.
