The second part of the final special episode of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 23" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm), "Monster and Holy Sword: Decisive Battle" (Episode 19), will be broadcast on March 12th.
The first part, which aired on the 5th, unfolds as the possibility emerges that a series of robberies occurring one after another in Tokyo may be connected to huge vested interests.... A number of suspicious characters make an appearance, including former entertainer and Tokyo governor Kazuoka (Katagiri Jin), who garners support with his flashy performances; Urakamika (Maikuma Katsuya), a mysterious man who approaches Ukyo (Mizutani Yutaka) asking him to be his friend; and Kihara Kenji (Hirayama Yusuke), the owner of a fried chicken stand, who seems to have some kind of connection to the incidents.
In the second part, the young people who committed the break-ins and robberies are found dead one after another, and the ``chain of death'' continues.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Governor Kazuoka, who has declared his intention to enter national politics, is gradually moving closer to the prime minister's seat. Ukyo senses that behind Kazuoka there is a "monster" who is manipulating public opinion.
At the climax, Ukyo and Kaoru (Terawaki Yasufumi) carry out a plan with the help of Kotemari (Moriguchi Yoko) and Miwako (Suzuki Sawa) to expose the crimes of the vanity monster.
