In episode 8, Reina suspects that Sachiko is actually Bando Yukiko. With scissors pointed at her, Sachiko desperately tries to convince Reina. Sachiko cannot reveal her true identity, so she tells Reina that she is quitting her job as a babysitter and gives her the diary of Kokoro (played by Shibata Haruno) that she wrote while working, asking her to take good care of her. However, Reina becomes increasingly angry and raises the scissors she is holding.
Meanwhile, Makoto (Yuki Inoue) calls out and stops Reina at the last moment. Reina quickly tries to cover up and says that she will report Sachiko to the police because she is disguised, but Makoto says that Reina should go to the police. In fact, Sachiko and Komi (Yuka Mukozato) have already revealed to Makoto the many crimes that Reina has committed.
Sachiko then reveals to Reina that she is Sachiko and that she has lived her whole life for revenge. With everything exposed, Reina breaks down in tears and desperately tries to persuade Makoto, saying, "Please give me just one more chance," but Makoto says that he will raise Kokoro himself, and once again urges Reina to turn herself in... and so the story unfolds.
Urged by Makoto to turn herself in, Reina collapses to the floor, face down, and cries loudly. Reina seems to have given up, but gradually her crying turns to laughter. Then, she finally raises her head and begins laughing loudly. Looking at Sachiko, she says with a laugh, "You think you've won." Sachiko looks shocked, and Reina angrily tells her, "It has to be me for Makoto. I'm the one who saved Makoto." Then, picking up the scissors that were lying on the floor, she attacks Sachiko...
Viewers were in an uproar over Shibuya's crazy performance of Reina. Comments like "It's so scary when she gradually starts laughing," "Scary scary scary," "Look, there she is! The psychopath!", "It gave me goosebumps," "The moment when the crying turns to laughter is so scary," "Her crazy acting is incredible," and "Nagisa's acting is amazing" were posted one after another.
