The 98th episode of the NHK morning drama " Omusubi " starring Kanna Hashimoto was broadcast on February 19th. In the episode, there was a scene where Masato (Yukiya Asadora ) and "Nabebe" Takao (Naoto Ogata) took a passport photo instead of a Purikura photo booth, which became a hot topic among viewers.
In episode 98, Masato, who is worried about the results of his stomach biopsy and is depressed, is invited by Takao to go out to the streets of Osaka. While eating at an izakaya, Takao asks Masato, "What's bothering you? There's no point in hiding it. It's always been easy to tell. Come on, tell me."
When Masato confided, "I think I might have cancer. I'm waiting for the test results right now...", Takao replied, "In that case, we still don't know. You're exaggerating as usual," and asked, "I'll go all the way with you today. Is there anything you want to do?"
Takao takes Masato to a jazz bar in response to his request. Masato is moved by the live jazz performance and says with tears in his eyes, "I want to listen to more and more jazz. This might be the first time I've ever felt this way."
"Let's come again!" Takao said, tapping Masato on the shoulder. Masato muttered, "Ah, well, last thing... there's one more thing I want to do." When Takao asked, "Yeah, what is it?" Masato invited him, "Can we take a photo?"
When Takao tried to take a photo with a passport photo machine on the side of the road, Masato resisted, saying, "This isn't a Puri!" Takao replied, "There's no arcade open at this time of night!" and forced the dissatisfied Masato into the passport photo machine, saying, "No. I want a Puri!" In the small passport photo machine, the two of them flashed big smiles and gave the camera a peace sign, saying, "Here we go!"
Comments on social media included, "Is it really this cute?", "The men were just so adorable and it was a precious episode", "The fact that the Purikura of the two men was used as a passport photo was brilliant", "I cried for some reason at the Purikura of the two men", and "I was moved by the friendship between the father and Nabe-san, who looked forward."
