To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which began broadcasting on February 2, 1976, it has been announced that a "Three Nights in a Row Tetsuko Special" will be broadcast from February 26th to 28th. Kuroyanagi will appear on other programs on the 26th and 27th, and on the 28th, from 8pm, "Tetsuko's Room 50th Anniversary Special" will be broadcast, featuring guests Sanma Akashiya and Sho Sakurai.
Kuroyanagi has hosted "The Best Ten" and "NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" and can be said to have had the opportunity to listen to Showa era pop songs "closest to" them. On the 26th at 7pm, "Tonight is the big sing-along! Showa era masterpiece singing ranking show" will feature Kuroyanagi announcing her carefully selected "Showa era masterpieces" along with her memories.
The second special program, "Tetsuko & Junji & Yoshizumi's World Shocking Videos," will be broadcast on the 27th at 7 p.m., and will feature Kuroyanagi, Takada Junji, and Ishihara Yoshizumi as MCs. The program will feature hilarious happenings that have occurred throughout the long history of "Tetsuko's Room."
On the 28th at 8pm, "Tetsuko's Room 50th Anniversary Special" will feature Sanma, who also appeared on the show's 40th and 45th anniversary specials and was asked by Kuroyanagi to "please come back when it's 50 years." Sakurai, who is close friends with Kuroyanagi, will also show up with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate the show's big milestone.
