The seventh episode of the NHK drama series "Tokyo Salad Bowl" (General TV, Tuesday 10:00 pm), starring actors Nao and Ryuhei Matsuda, will be broadcast on February 18th. The subtitle of the episode is "God and Buddy." Hiroya Agawa (Hiroshi Mikami) is newly appointed to the International Investigation Division of Higashi-Shinjuku Police Station. Koda (Nao) is confused when he is asked to team up with Agawa...
Kota soon comes to respect Agawa's ability to connect with the Chinese community, but he also learns that Agawa was the culprit behind the mistranslation incident four years ago and was the partner of the police officer, Oda Satoru (Nakamura Aoi), who died after the incident.
Meanwhile, Lin Monchi (Li Dan), a person who knows the volunteers, is killed. Koda finally learns about the relationship that Yukino (Matsuda) had been hiding from Oda... The trailer also shows the words "Who is my partner?" and "The door to the truth opens."
The drama is based on the manga "Tokyo Salad Bowl - International Investigation Case File" by Kuromaru, who is also known for "Kurosagi." Set in Tokyo, where about 700,000 foreign residents live, Nao plays the green-haired international investigation police officer Mari Koda, and together with the troubled Chinese interpreter Ryo Yukino, played by Matsuda, the drama is a socially conscious entertainment that picks up the lives of those who are about to fall through the cracks of Japanese society.
