TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appearance! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm). The February 15th broadcast will feature Hikifune, Sumida Ward, Tokyo. The guests will be Masakazu Mimura of the comedy duo "Samaazu" and actor Akane Sakanoue.
Hikifune in Sumida Ward offers a close-up view of Tokyo Skytree. While redevelopment is underway in the surrounding area, Hikifune still has its row houses and wells in its quaint alleys, its old-fashioned shopping streets, and its tin-roofed walls. It is also known as the "miracle town" where the Showa era remains intact.
The program will visit such nostalgic scenes, including a "mystery house" where koi fish swim inside the house and chickens are raised, a "cafe and kendama shop" where you can play kendama, a popular takoyaki shop in the shopping district, a greengrocer that serves sherbet, and the finest silken tofu made from soybeans.
We will also introduce a downtown bar famous for its extra thick pork ginger, a downtown public bath run by the fourth generation owner of a UN-related organization, and monjayaki, which guest Mimura describes as "a taste of the heart."
