The January light novel sales rankings were announced by Shosen Book Tower, a popular bookstore in Akihabara, Tokyo, and the top spot was taken by the 17th volume of "Amai no Umi: When the Water Surface Shakes - The Counterattack of Mototsuna Kuchiki, the Unlucky Man Hated by the Three Heroes" (TO Books). The work depicts the life of the Sengoku warlord Mototsuna Kuchiki.
Coming in second place was the special edition with a booklet of the 15th volume of "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria" (GA Bunko), with the regular version of the same volume coming in third.
