The fourth episode of the TV drama " Japan's Number One Jerk Salaryman " (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring Shingo Katori , aired on January 30th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, below) was 3.7% for households and 2.2% for individuals.
The story is about a TV newsman who is involved in a scandal and finds himself at the brink of collapse, but then decides to run for office in order to change Japan, as he wants to create a better society through raising his children. This is the first time in 11 years that Katori has starred in a Fuji TV drama series.
In the fourth episode, Ippei (Katori) has gotten used to living with Masasuke's ( Jun Shison) family and is beginning to believe that raising a child is fun. Makabe (Ken Yasuda Ken) warns Ippei not to confuse the purpose with the means. He then suggests that Ippei try to do some "community contribution activities."
He went on to say that he needed to create a track record that could be used in the election that showed he cares about not only families but also the children in the community.
