TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appearance! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Machida, Tokyo on the January 25th broadcast.
Machida City was in a frenzy as FC Machida Zelvia, which was promoted to the J1 League for the first time, made a strong run last season, finishing in third place. The program will feature FC Machida Zelvia and introduce local gourmet food.
Some of the dishes on offer include the Japanese-style dashi cutlet curry that is so highly praised by locals that people line up in the shopping district, the popular grilled horumon (grilled offal) with a secret miso sauce, burnt soy sauce fondue provided by a long-established brewery, iyabasu to be eaten with rice, and sweet and spicy miso-based horse meat hotpot.
In addition, we will introduce a long-established store specializing in confectionery ingredients, Junjo Kissa, which has 108 types of cream soda, and a high-quality, delicious brand of melon that brings together Machida's technology.
