Highlights from the "Yuzuru Hanyu ICE STORY 3rd "Echoes of Life" TOUR" concert held at Saitama Super Arena (Chuo-ku, Saitama City) on December 7th last year, which was Yuzuru Hanyu's 30th birthday, who won the men's singles figure skating gold medal at the Winter Olympics for two consecutive years and is currently active as a professional skater, will be broadcast exclusively on terrestrial television for the first time on TV Asahi from 1:55 pm to 3:20 pm on January 26th.
This performance is the third installment of a series of innovative ice shows that Hanyu himself is responsible for planning, scripting, performing, and executive producing. Having pondered bioethics since his experience of the disaster, Hanyu has created a completely original story that questions the meaning of "life."
A large stage over three meters high was set up on the rink, and of the 12 songs in the program, 10 were new songs with new choreography, and the group took on the difficult task of playing two roles and expressing words through their bodies.
The program will follow Hanyu exclusively as he tours three cities across the country, starting with a performance in Saitama on December 7th, followed by Hiroshima in January and Chiba in February, offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes.
The program also features an interview with former professional tennis player Shuzo Matsuoka, who has been covering Hanyu since he was 16. We will explore Hanyu's current whereabouts, including why he chose the theme of life and where he is heading now that he has turned 30.
