Ran Ito, a former member of the 1970s three-piece idol group "Candies," who is now active as a singer and actor, held the final performance of her nationwide tour, which visited nine cities across the country, at Tokyo Garden Theater (Koto Ward, Tokyo) on January 15. It has been revealed that the final performance will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in April.
Even after the group disbanded in 1978, Ito continued to work as an actor and talent, and in 2019, he made his debut as a solo singer for the first time in 41 years since the group's disbandment. He has released albums and performed concerts and tours. In December 2023, the 50th anniversary of his debut with Candies, he appeared on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen for the first time in about half a century.
This nationwide tour, titled "Ito Ran ~Over the Moon~ Concert Tour 2024-2025", has been going to Osaka, Sendai, Kumamoto, Kyoto, Kobe, etc. since August last year, and will conclude with a performance in Tokyo on January 25th. In addition to her latest songs such as "Kaze ni Notte ~Over the Moon" released in August 2024, the tour also featured plenty of Candies songs such as "Heart no Ace ga Deshitakanai" and "Haru Ichiban". Paper tape support was also allowed at the Tokyo performance.
