The third episode of the TV drama " Japan's Number One Jerk Salaryman " (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring Shingo Katori , was broadcast on January 23rd, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 4.0% for households and 2.3% for individuals.
The story is about a TV newsman who is involved in a scandal and finds himself at the brink of collapse, but then decides to run for office in order to change Japan, as he wants to create a better society through raising his children. This is the first time in 11 years that Katori has starred in a Fuji TV drama series.
In the third episode, Ippei (Katori) learns that Masasuke's ( Jun Shison) daughter Himari (Masuda Risa) has been missing school recently. Ippei says he'll show her the fun of school, but Masasuke tries to respect Himari's feelings.
Meanwhile, Ippei visits the office of Minseito politician Kuroiwa (Jun Hashimoto) and tells Makabe (Ken Yasuda) about Himari. Then, Ippei and Makabe "use" the situation for the election, while focusing on supporting school dropouts and starting to plot to get in touch with the parents of the elementary school PTA...
