Eraser stamp artist Natsuko Taguchi will make her first appearance on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), broadcast on January 16th at 1pm. Taguchi's works are "eraser versions of prints" made by carving and pressing erasers to create pictures. Tetsuko is also fascinated by the wide variety of her works.
Taguchi has exhibited at the historic "Ban'in Exhibition" four times, and has won prizes all four times. He has loved drawing since he was a child, but never thought of it as a career. When he saw a colleague at his previous company making eraser stamps as a hobby, he tried to imitate him and found it fun, and became more and more addicted. Gradually, his works became more elaborate, and they became a hot topic on social media.
Taguchi's biggest supporters are her husband and her son who is a high school student. She says that the words of her son made her feel glad that she chose the path she is on now. She also said that she has a special gift for Tetsuko.
