The sequel to the 13th installment of the popular anime series "PreCure", " Witchy Pretty Cure! ~ MIRAI DAYS~", will be broadcast on ABC TV and TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "ANiMAZiNG!!!" from 2am on January 11th. This is the first sequel to " Witchy Pretty Cure!" in about 8 years. Cure Miracle/ Mirai Asahina is a university student in the No Magic Realm, Cure Magical/ Liko Izayoi has returned to the magical world and is a teacher at a magic school, and Cure Felice/ Kotoha Hanami has become a being who watches over the world from afar, and they must face their own past and future.
Episode 1, "A Miraculous and Magical Reunion!", features Mirai, now a university student. While Mirai lives the life of a typical university student, she also secretly works as a "Magical Girl" who uses magic to help people, and leads a fun and hectic life with her stuffed animal Mofurun. One day, a giant bear-shaped monster appears in Tsunariki Town, where Mirai lives. Mirai tries to fight back using magic, but is completely powerless and finds herself in big trouble. Then, an unexpected person appears in front of Mirai!
"Witchy Pretty Cure!" aired from February 2016 to January 2017. The catchphrase was "Two time periods (Mirai) are now connected with the magical words ' Cure Up RaPaPa!'" and the story was set in the magical world and the No Magic Realm (human world), depicting Mirai, Riko, and Kotoha transforming into the "legendary magical PreCure" and doing great things.
The sequel is also attracting attention as it will see Rie Takahashi reprising her role as Cure Miracle/ Mirai Asahina , Yui Horie reprising her role as Cure Magical/ Liko Izayoi , Saori Hayami Kotoha Hanami reprising her role as Cure Felice/Hanaumi Kotoha, and Ayaka Saito reprising her role as Mofurun .
