The story is about a TV newsman who is involved in a scandal and finds himself at the brink of collapse, but then decides to run for office in order to change Japan, as he wants to create a better society through raising his children. This is the first time in 11 years that Katori has starred in a Fuji TV drama series.
In the first episode, Omori Ippei (Katori), a producer of a news program, is forced to leave the TV station due to a scandal. He now lives in the family home left by his father, calling himself a freelance political journalist, but is living a dull life that is practically unemployed.
