Japan's leading fusion group, "CASIOPEA," held "CASIOPEA-P4/RIGHT NOW~Winter・Kiyomi FINAL" on December 15th at the Hulic Hall Tokyo (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). It was revealed that the performance will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in March 2025. The final performance of the 45th anniversary debut tour marked the "graduation" stage for keyboardist Kiyomi Otaka, who had been with the group since 2012.
CASIOPEA was formed in 1977 and debuted in 1979. In 2022, 45 years after the group's formation, the group will begin its fourth period as "CASIOPEA-P4". The group is centered around original member Issei Noro (guitar), with Yoshihiro Naruse (bass), Otaka, and Yoshiyori Imai (drums), and is active as "CASIOPEA-P4", which means "fourth period". In 2024, the 45th anniversary of their debut, the group will release a new album "RIGHT NOW" and hold a live tour to coincide with it. Otaka announced his graduation from the group at the Tokyo performance on December 15th.
WOWOW will broadcast and stream the Tokyo performance on December 15th under the title "CASIOPEA-P4 TOUR 2024 "RIGHT NOW" Kiyomi FINAL" in March 2025. In addition, they will be programming special programs for three consecutive months until May of the same year.
In April, we will be broadcasting and streaming the legendary live performance by CASIOPEA and the twin drum music unit "Synchronized DNA," titled "CASIOPEA with Synchronized DNA "5 STARS LIVE"," which took place at Yokohama BLITZ (Nishi-ku, Yokohama) on July 30, 2005.
In May, the show will be titled "JOIA CASIOPEA WORLD TOUR" and will broadcast and stream footage of CASIOPEA's 1988 world tour, which took them to Brazil, Australia, Japan, Mexico, and the United States.
