It has been revealed that several new works are currently in the works for the popular anime series "Code Geass," which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. Details will be announced in the future.
It was also revealed that an event will be held to screen the 13 films in the Code Geass series in succession. This was announced at the "Special Birthday Screening of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code Geass: Rose of the Recapture" event held at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku, Tokyo) on December 7th. Fukuyama Jun, who voices Lelouch, and Amakasaki Kohei, who voices Rose in Code Geass: Rose of the Recapture, appeared at the event.
The Code Geass series is an anime about a boy named Lelouch who acquires a special ability called Geass and throws himself into a rebellious battle that will change the whole world. The first season of the TV anime, Lelouch of the Rebellion, aired from October 2006 to March 2007, and the sequel, Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, aired from April to September 2008. The movie version, Akito the Exiled, was also released. A trilogy of movies was released from October 2017 to May 2018, reconstructing all 50 episodes of the first season and the sequel with new scenes. In 2019, a completely new movie version, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection, was released. The four-act version, Code Geass: Rose of the Recapture, was released in 2024.
