The winner of the "Cutest High School Girl in Japan" award is Harua from Okayama Prefecture

The winner of the Miss High School Girl Contest 2024, which decides the "cutest high school girl in Japan," was announced on December 1st, and Harua, a second-year student from Okayama Prefecture, was selected. The final judging took place in Tokyo on the same day. A total of 15 finalists, including representatives from each block, gathered in Tokyo on weekends for about two months from October to November to take lessons in singing, dancing, and other subjects from professional instructors. At the announcement of the grand prize, the comedy duo "Tosa Kyodai" appeared as guests, and performed dance, vocals, acting, and a fashion show in front of the audience. The winners of each category, including the grand prize and runner-up, were decided based on the voting results at the end of the event. Harua, the grand prize winner, was presented with a prize of 500,000 yen and a trip to Okinawa. Juri, a third-year student from Kyoto Prefecture, was selected as the runner-up. The Miss High School Girl Contest, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is a contest limited to high school girls, with the concept of "the cutest high school girl in Japan chosen by everyone." The judging method is tailored to the lifestyles of people of this generation, such as voting via social media, and any high school girl who is not affiliated with an agency can participate.
