The key visual for the third round of the second season of the TV anime "MF Ghost," based on the "successor" to the popular manga "Initial D" by Shuichi Shigeno, has been released. The visual depicts the 86 evolving as it approaches the climax of the second round at Lake Ashinoko GT and the third round at The Peninsula Manazuru. The 86 is turbocharged by Hiroya Okuyama of "Spiral Zero." The engine power has increased to over 300 horsepower, and the bonnet has been changed to a carbon fiber bonnet for the purposes of weight reduction and efficient cooling.
The fourth PV has also been released on YouTube. Kanata Katagiri, the protagonist who took on the challenge in the second round with the updated 86, makes a great advance in the final race held in the rain. With the third round approaching, Sena Morohoshi appears before Kanata in a yellow Supra.

"MF Ghost" began serialization in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha) in 2017. The story is set in Japan in the year 202X, when self-driving cars have become widespread. As the MFG car races on public roads gain popularity around the world, Natsumi Katagiri, who graduated from a racing school in the UK, returns to Japan to fulfill a certain purpose.
The anime will be directed by Tomohito Naka, who has worked on the "New Theatrical Edition Initial D" series, and produced by Felix Film. Naoyuki Onda, who has worked on Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash, is in charge of character design. The first season aired from October to December 2023. The second season is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other networks.
