The fifth episode of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 23" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm) titled "Ghost Hotel" will air on November 20th. Toyama Toshiya will guest star.
While on vacation, Ukyo (Mizutani Yutaka) visits a hotel in the mountains where a room attendant is stabbed to death. A butterfly that only lives in Southeast Asia is found in the victim's hand.
After hearing rumors that a guest had seen a "spirit," Ukyo becomes intrigued and begins to investigate. The hotel is known as a haunted spot, and some curious people visit in the hopes of seeing ghosts.
Joining the investigation, Kaoru (Terawaki Yasufumi) meets a girl sketching the butterfly in the hotel, and together they search for the butterfly. However, the girl, who is recuperating, falls ill and is taken in by her mother. Her father also shows up, but the couple are apparently separated and their relationship is strained.
The murder scene turns out to be the room the father had just checked out of. The manager, Oda (Toyama), is cooperative with the investigation, but there are testimonies that he has been troubled recently...
The screenplay is by Iwashita Yuko and the director is Tamura Kozo.
