Actor Funakoshi Eiichiro's signature show, "Funakoshi Eiichiro's Showa Reproduction Factory" (BS12 TwellV, Thursdays 9pm) will be broadcast on November 14th, focusing on the world's only celluloid doll craftsman as a "Showa heritage."
Celluloid dolls were popular in the 1950s, especially among children. The show will follow Hirai Eiichiro, who is said to be the only craftsman left in the world today. It will explore the appeal and thoughts behind celluloid dolls. In the preview, Hirai is introduced as "a living witness to the world of celluloid dolls." There is also a scene where he reveals his thoughts that he wants "people today to know about them."
The show will look back on "items that bring back memories of the Showa era," "places that bring back memories of the Showa era," and "people that bring back memories of the good old Showa era."
On the 14th, "Nagira Kenichi's Exploration of the Showa Era: Monzen-Nakacho Edition" will also be broadcast.
