The original manga has been serialized in "Young Gangan" (Square Enix) since 2018. It is a romantic comedy about the relationship between Kitagawa Marin, a popular high school gal who loves cosplay and her classmate Gojo Niina, who is training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, as they make cosplay costumes. It is broadcast every Tuesday at 12:59 a.m. on MBS and 1:28 a.m. on TBS.
In the sixth episode, Niina, who is on summer vacation, begins to seriously focus on her training to be a head maker. Marin works hard at her part-time job so as not to get in Niina's way, but her feelings for her grow stronger. Niina, completely unaware of Marin's feelings, works hard at her training, but she struggles and reaches a mental dead end.
Hoping to give Niina a break, Marin invites her out shopping. While shopping, Niina decides to make a cosplay costume for Liz-kun, Marin's favorite character, and resumes making the costume. They decide to try on the costume at Marin's house, and Niina feels nervous as it is her first time visiting Marin's house.
The two get excited after trying on the costume and decide to have a photo shoot. They get so absorbed in trying on the best photo that they end up pressed together on the bed without realizing it. Then Marin's father comes home.
