Actor Sachie Hara will appear in the third episode (to be broadcast on November 10th) of the drama series "My Diary" (ABC TV/TV Asahi, Sunday 10:15pm). She will play Risako, the mother of Shiraishi Mahiru, played by Yoshikawa Ai.
"My Diary" is an original work by up-and-coming screenwriter Hyodo Ruri, who made her debut in 2020. The story follows the protagonist Onomura Yuki (Kiyohara Kaya), a first-year working adult who looks back on her college days through small daily events, and depicts the youth ensemble of five men and women.
Hara commented on her appearance in this work, "I played the mother of Shiraishi Mahiru, played by Yoshikawa Ai. As the protagonist says at the beginning of this drama, 'I suddenly felt like rereading the diary of my life,' I played the role with the hope of portraying the relationship between our parents and children in a sensitive way."
Actor Shunsuke Kubozuka also appears in the third episode. He plays Takashi, the father of Ren Makihara, Mahiru's elementary school classmate.
