The second week of the NHK morning drama series "Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others), starring Hashimoto Kanna, will air its second episode, "What is a Gal?" on October 7th. In the sixth episode...
After helping a gal due to the Yoneda family's character of not being able to leave people in trouble alone, Yui (Hashimoto) secretly begins to interact with the gals of the Hakata Gals Alliance (Hagaren), which her older sister Ayumu (Naka Riisa) formed a long time ago.
During the weekdays, she is active in the calligraphy club where her idolized senior Kazami (Matsumoto Rei) is, and on weekends, she leads a double life with the gals. Meanwhile, Yui's father, Masato (Kitamura Yukiya), ruminates on the words that Nagayoshi (Matsudaira Ken) told him about his attitude toward agriculture.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with a "gal spirit" that values being true to herself at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist. It is an original work by screenwriter Nemoto Nonji, known for NHK's drama "Shojiki Real Estate," among others.
