Singer and TV personality Ano-san, also known as "Ano-chan," will star in the new drama series "Watashi no Sōsatsu Nikki" (My Affirmative Diary), which will begin airing on June 5th on TV Tokyo (Fridays at 12:52 AM). This will be Ano-san's first time starring in a drama series on terrestrial television.
"My Counteracting Diary" is a four-episode original story written by the team behind the script for "Kodoku no Gourmet." It depicts the daily life of Sakuraba Moe (Ano-san), a laid-back protagonist who tries to live life freely by mastering a special technique called "My Own Counteracting Method."
Moe, played by Ano-san, is a perfectly ordinary woman. With the motto "Live happily in the present," she deliberately avoids a steady job and enjoys excessive eating and drinking, nightlife, sleeping in, shopping sprees, etc., indulging in her desires without thinking about the consequences. After a certain event, she finds a way to overcome the obstacles in front of her by using "offsetting" them, which in a sense is an "excuse." She is a character who "doesn't have to try hard, but hasn't given up either."
The theme song is "KILL LOVE," which Ano wrote in 2025 under the name "ano" and is very popular among fans. Ano commented, "The character I played this time, Sakuraba Moe, is very human and it was a role I had never played before, so every day of filming was fresh and intense. The more I read the script, the more interesting it became, and I really related to her desperate attempts to make up for times when she had to spend time doing things she didn't like, by going home early to work on her projects or sacrificing sleep to do things she loved."
