It has been announced that a short story will be distributed starting May 8th as a gift for moviegoers during the third week of screenings of the first part of "Sound ! Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movement," a theatrical film that reconstructs " Sound! Euphonium 3," the third season of the TV anime " Sound! Euphonium," which is based on a novel by Ayano Takeda.
Three types of short stories written by the original author, Takeda, will be distributed randomly: "You're Cute, You're Adorable" (Kumiko/Hazuki/Midori/Reina), "The Budget is Up to 5,000 Yen" (Kumiko/Reina/Shuichi), and "I Don't Know Where the Soap Bubbles Fell" (Kumiko/Mayu/Kanade, etc.). The covers will feature original illustrations by the chief animation director and character designer, Kazumi Ikeda.
"Sound! Euphonium" depicts the growth of the brass band members, including euphonium player Kumiko Oumae, at Kitauji High School. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2015, the second season from October to December 2016, and the third season from April to July 2024. "The Final Movement" is a compilation of edited footage from the third season of the TV anime, with many new scenes added. The second part will be released on September 11th.
