Koonha's best friend, Reina (Uchida Rio), is diagnosed with an aneurysm. Instead of a craniotomy, Reina requests catheter surgery, which shortens hospital stays and speeds recovery.
Koonami, who is currently on suspension, begs Nakata ( Osamu Mukai) to lift his suspension so that he can perform surgery on Reina, but Nakata refuses.
As Koonami sighs, neurosurgeon Otomo, nurse Sara (Ryubi Miyase), nurse Matsumoto (Usuyuki), head nurse Takano (Toru Baba), and intern Song (Hu Pung-fan) arrive. Sara and the others plead with Koonami to leave Reina's surgery to Otomo.
"We will save Mr. Tagami's precious friend. So believe in your friends."
Otomo spoke with a serious look in his eyes, and Koonami seemed deeply moved. She looked at the faces of her teammates and bowed, saying, "Everyone, I look forward to working with you."
On social media, people were talking about the show, saying things like, "They're the best team ever," "I cried when I told all the neurosurgeons to trust their teammates," "The scene where Dr. Koonami was hurt and felt betrayed by Dr. Nakata, whom he trusted deep down, but was encouraged by his teammates and got back on his feet was very memorable," and "It's good that Takano is here too."
The drama is a medical entertainment about a young delinquent girl, Koonami Tagami, who studies hard after her best friend dies in an accident and becomes a neurosurgeon, bringing a breath of fresh air to the medical field. The script is written by Nonji Nemoto, who also wrote the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi," in which Hashimoto starred.
