The 2025 MAMA AWARDS, one of the world's largest K-POP award ceremonies, will be held in Hong Kong on November 28th and 29th and will be streamed live exclusively in Japan on the video streaming service TELASA. It has been decided that the proceedings from both days will be streamed in one go on the following day, November 30th.
In addition to the award ceremony and live performances by the winners, the red carpet will also be streamed live. The entire event will be streamed at 2:00 PM on the following day, the 30th. An archived stream is also planned for a later date.
Additionally, a special "MAMA AWARDS" program will be broadcast on terrestrial TV Asahi from 1:26-1:56 AM on November 27th, the day before the awards ceremony. Footage will include BIGBANG's first reunion in nine years since last year's "2024 MAMA AWARDS," as well as SEVENTEEN's tearful second consecutive Grand Prize win. TELASA is currently streaming not only the "2024 MAMA AWARDS," but also the "2022 MAMA AWARDS" and "2023 MAMA AWARDS."
The MAMA AWARDS are sponsored by the Korean entertainment company CJ ENM and have been leading the K-pop industry for over 26 years since 1999. Past recipients include BIGBANG, Girls' Generation, BTS, and SEVENTEEN, and winning a MAMA AWARDS is said to be the highest honor for a K-pop artist and a symbol of their talent and popularity.
The special performances and productions by the performers, as well as rare special collaborations, have been a hot topic every year, and it will be interesting to see what kind of performances will be shown this year. This year's event will be held at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
