Eight character posters for "Disney Twisted Wonderland the Animation," the anime adaptation of the popular smartphone game "Disney Twisted Wonderland (Twisted)," have been released. They feature Riddle Rosehearts and the other Heartslabyul dorm students in their formal attire, as well as Enman Yuuken, a high school student who gets lost in the world of Twisted Wonderland, Grimm, a monster who dreams of becoming a magician, and Dear Crowley, the principal of Night Raven College.
Voice actors including Natsuki Hanae , who plays Riddle Rosehearts, have commented: "My first impression is that he is a very serious, strict and honest character, with a strong sense of responsibility as the dorm leader. He is quite feared by the dorm residents, but I could sense that he has his own beliefs, so when I was acting, I tried to include not only his strictness, but also a bit of purity and kindness somewhere in his character."
"Twisted Wonderland" is set at the prestigious magic school, Night Raven College, and features characters inspired by villains from Disney works, as well as seven dormitories inspired by the worlds of works such as "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Lion King." Yana Toboso , known as the author of the popular manga " Black Butler ," which was also made into an anime, is in charge of the original concept, main scenario, and character design.
The anime will be produced by Yumeta Company and Graphinica, with Natori Takahiro as general director and Katakai Makoto as director. Based on the comic adaptation of the game, three seasons will be produced: Season 1 "Episode of Heartslabyul", Season 2 "Episode of Savanaclaw", and Season 3 "Episode of Octavinelle". Season 1 will be available exclusively on Disney+ from October 29th. The anime will consist of eight episodes, with one episode released every Wednesday starting from October 29th.
The voice actors' comments are as follows:
◇Comment from Seiichiro Yamashita, who plays Ace Trappola
He gives the impression of being a modern, high school student-like character, with a keen eye for observation and a keen eye for his surroundings. He also acts on the premise that it will be beneficial to him, so he seems like a smart guy, but his intelligence is not rock solid, and he has some shortcomings and immaturity, which is what makes him so appealing.
◇Comment from Chiaki Kobayashi, who plays Deuce Spade
His earnest efforts to become an honor student make you want to root for him. His courage is evident in the way he stands up to things despite not being very skillful, and I think it's fascinating how he tries to fight back against his past self, who caused trouble for others. Anyway, I played Deuce with a focus on straightforwardness.
◇Comment from Ryota Ryota Suzuki, who plays Trey Clover
He often acts as a guardian for the dorm students within the strict rules established by Riddle, and I think he is a character who has a bird's-eye view of things as if he is watching over the Heartslabyul dorm. At this point, we don't yet know his full potential, and he gives off the impression of being a character who is harboring something.
◇Comment from Tatsuyuki Kobayashi, who plays Kate Diamond
She has excellent communication skills and a bright personality that allows her to quickly become close to anyone, but she is not good at troublesome things or perseverance, so she sometimes behaves in a shady manner. She has a personality that treats everyone equally, and she does not act like a senior to her juniors or classmates, so I tried to consciously portray the image of her trying to get along with everyone into Kate.
◇Comment from Yohei Azakami, who plays Enman Yuuken
He is a character with a strong "Japanese" image, which is rare in the world of Twisted Wonderland. He has a very straightforward personality and is so straightforward that he can seem a bit airheaded, but that's his charm point. He is a character with many elements that I feel a sense of affinity with, so it's a lot of fun to play him!
◇Comment from Noriaki Sugiyama, who plays Grimm
For better or worse, she is a straightforward character. To put it in a positive way, she is a mascot character for the work, but I tried to be as conscious as possible of her character's personality as she is not just cute. She is true to her instincts, scheming evilly and being lured by delicious-looking things, so I tried to play her in a way that would express her as naturally as possible.
◇Comment from Mitsuru Miyamoto, who plays Dear Crowley
If you just look at his lines, he doesn't seem like such a bad person, but there's also something very cold about him, and I was conscious of the rapid changes he can make, as if all sorts of things were coming and going, when I played him. I felt that if I thought too much about Crowley's personality, I would end up putting something into the lines, so I tried not to think about it too much.
