The Thursday drama " School of love. " (Thursdays, 10pm), starring actress Fumino Kimura and co-starring Raul from the popular group Snow Man, has recently wrapped up filming.
Raul wrapped up filming early. "Raul, the role of Takamori Taiga, is all finished!" the staff gave him a big round of applause, and he bowed deeply several times. Director Nishitani Hiroshi handed him a bouquet of bright red flowers, symbolizing Kaworu's bright red suit, and they exchanged a firm handshake.
Raul, whose first time appearing in a primetime drama series, said with a smile, "This is the first time I've been on set for this long, so I think the cast and staff are amazing. Their concentration, stamina, reading comprehension...they're truly amazing and I respect them. I trusted all of you professionals and jumped in completely naked. Thank you so much!" He also gave a cheer to the team, who are continuing filming, saying, "Do your best until the end!" as he bid farewell with a sense of regret.
Then, as director Nishitani finished shooting all the scenes, a final "OK!" rang out on set, and Kimura also wrapped up filming. Amid thunderous applause, director Nishitani presented Manami with a bouquet of pure white flowers, to which Kimura replied with a look of relief, "Thank you!" Looking back on the filming, she said, "Filming a drama is always tough. The more packed the schedule gets, the harder it becomes to get up in the morning, and I have to somehow muster up the strength to get up and leave the house, but I looked forward to coming to the set of ' School of love.' every day. Once I got through that brief moment of waking up, the time leading up to getting to set was really exciting, and I really enjoyed thinking every day about what challenges I'll encounter today, what I'll review when I get home, and what preparation I'll do for tomorrow's shoot."
"If I could, I would like to continue making this with this team forever. But that's not possible, so I thought every day about making a production that people would think, 'It was fun on set, wasn't it?' and 'It was tough, but we found a great project.' At first, I didn't know how to play Manami, and I even complained to Director Nishitani... But it was only thanks to the help and support of the cast and staff, from their gazes to the props, that I was able to live as Manami," she said, tears in her eyes.
He then expressed his gratitude, saying, "I'm really sad to be leaving you all, but I'll keep working hard so that I can work with you again. Thank you all for your hard work!" and concluded the shoot.
