The 120th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada, was broadcast on September 12th, and viewers were drawn to the contents of a letter that Nobu (Imada) and Taka ( Takumi Kitamura) received from Kotoko (Yui Narumi), a colleague of theirs from their days at the Kochi Shimpo newspaper.
In episode 120, shortly after Tokairin's (Kenjiro Tsuda) visit, he receives a letter from Kotoko, a colleague from his time at the Kochi Shimpo newspaper. The letter informs him of Tokairin's death and explains the real reason he came to Tokyo. Despite his doctor's warnings, Tokairin sneaks out of the hospital where he was staying and comes to see Nobu and Taka, saying that there is something he absolutely needs to confirm.
Returning to the hospital in Kochi, Tokairin joyfully declared, "I've finally found those two. Justice that will never be reversed," and shortly thereafter, they departed for heaven. After reading the letter, Nobu was left speechless, saying, "This is..." and Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) muttered, "They risked their lives... to come and see me..."
That night, Taka was driven by something and began to draw with his pencil. He finally completed "Anpanman."
Regarding Tokairin's "death by letter," comments on social media included, "I was prepared for it, but...I still burst into tears," "The hints were all raised, but...to actually hear it...it's painful," "He was a passionate person until the very end," "My bad feeling came true," "I let my guard down because the narrator didn't die yesterday...thank you, Tsudaken," "Tears for Tokairin who guided me," and "So Tokairin was the final piece of Anpanman's puzzle."
