"Anpan" Episode 160: Nobu and Taka collide

The 104th episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on August 21st, in which Taka ( Takumi Kitamura) and Nobu (Imada) clashed over a manga. Viewers were fascinated by the subsequent developments.

In episode 104, Takuya (Motoki Omori) asks Nobu to write a script for a TV drama. Takuya says that it will also be useful for drawing manga, but Taku explains that he doesn't draw manga and accepts the job. On his way out, Takuya bows to Nobu and says apologetically, "I've asked you to write the drama script in addition to the lyrics. That means I won't have time to draw manga." Nobu replies, "I'm happy that Takuya has asked me to work for him," but worries that Taku will quit manga if he continues like this.

When Taka returned home, Nobu was cooking and looked angry. Taka said, "But I'm a little happy. Even Nobu-chan can be jealous," to which Nobu replied, "Taka-san has been acting strange lately," asking, "Aren't you forcing yourself to take on too much work and making yourself too busy?" and, "Why did you end up not drawing manga, Taka-san?"

Taka says it's to avoid making Nobu suffer, and replies, "Because I'm busy... I think Nobu-chan told me to do things that make people happy." When Nobu worries, saying, "You're getting carried away with the work in front of you and you're not able to draw the manga you want to draw," Taka mocks himself, saying, "Manga... it's fine. It won't sell anyway. I'm a manga artist without a masterpiece anyway."

Nobu says, "No matter what anyone says, Taka's manga is interesting. Keep drawing," but Taka replies, "I can't come up with any ideas," and "I've never had any talent to begin with." Nobu asks, "Is it my fault? Am I the one who is pushing Taka?" Taka raises his voice and replies, "This is my problem! Leave me alone!"

Nobu leaves, saying, "I can't concentrate on my work when I'm here," and goes to Ranko's house with a futon. Ranko is surprised, but Nobu tells her, "I ran away from home," and asks her to leave it here for a while. Taka, who is left alone at home, opens the paper bag containing the Anpan and mutters, "I bought some for Nobu-chan too..."
