Kurata and Tsubasa listen to the story of Yumeno ( Ichika Osaki). Yumeno talks about how she was treated badly by her mother since she was a child, and Kurata reveals his own past, saying, "I was also abused by my parents growing up."
"Over time, the physical scars have healed. I was raised with loving care by my foster parents. But the emotional scars, which I don't even know where they are, are hard to heal," Kurata said, and Tsubasa listened with a serious look on his face.
Kurata says he understands Yumeno's feelings that she might not be able to be a parent. Looking at Tsubasa, he tells Yumeno, "This person is so straightforward and boar-like that it's almost stupid. But he cares about you more than anyone else and thinks of you as if you were his own. So please don't hesitate to rely on Natsui."
Afterwards, Kurata was left alone to talk with Tsubasa, and she said, "I can't believe you were abused. That you're a survivor. I walked in here without knowing anything. What an idiot. A stupid idiot. A stupid boar. A stupid wild boar. Seriously!" She hit herself on the head and calmly told Tsubasa, "You were probably thinking things like that, weren't you? I don't want that sort of thing."
"Ah, no, that's not true. I don't think that," Tsubasa denies, to which Kurata provokes, "Don't make that face. If I take my energy from you, I'll have nothing left." When Tsubasa interjects, "What do you mean by that?", Kurata brushes it off by saying, "It means exactly what it says."
On social media, comments such as "They make such a good pair," "I wonder if he said "baka idiot, boar idiot" to make Tsubasa feel uncomfortable? That was great," "Tsubasa, who gets called a boar by Kurata, is also great because he's energetic," and "I'm glad they include this boar-idiot-like exchange in every episode... I love the two of them so it's so relaxing."
The drama is set in a seaside child consultation center and depicts Natsui Tsubasa as a new child welfare officer, dealing with various children and parents and growing together. This will be Fukuhara's first lead role in a "Getsuku" drama.
