The seventh episode of the TV drama "The Kidnapping Day" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm), starring actor Saito Takumi, aired on August 19th, and drew attention to lawyer Yamazaki, played by Snow Man's Tatsuya Fukazawa.

The original work is a drama of the same name (2023) that became a hot topic in Korea. It is a mystery story about Masamune (played by Saito), who becomes a kidnapper to pay for his daughter's heart disease surgery, and Rin (Yuno Nagao), a genius girl with amnesia whose parents were murdered, who evades the pursuit of mysterious men and approaches the truth of a murder case.
Masamune and Rin win Yamazaki over and successfully capture Kevin Fukuzumi (Kosuke Suzuki), the head of the Japanese branch of the investment company Z Capitals, who is trying to get Rin. They also ask for the cooperation of Detective Sunouchi (Yosuke Eguchi), and Samezu (Seishin Eiji) is also arrested.
However, in episode 7, Samezu is released, presumably due to pressure from Z Capitals on the police higher-ups. Samezu rescues Kevin, who had been held captive by Masamune, and attacks Rin again. He appears just as Rin and Yamazaki are alone, and Yamazaki risks his life to protect Rin, only to be stabbed in the abdomen... and so the story unfolds.
Yamazaki's safety was unknown until halfway through the story, but there was a scene later where Kevin said, "That lawyer is stubborn," and Yamazaki was briefly shown on his bed in the preview for next week's episode 8 (August 26th), confirming his survival.
When he was stabbed, many shocked voices were posted on social media saying, "Fukka, what happened...?" However, afterwards, comments such as "'Apparently that lawyer is still alive. He's so tenacious' made me give a fist pump!", "I'm relieved that Lawyer Yamazaki seems to be safe", "I was worried about what happened to him but I'm relieved to see that he's alive in the preview", "Lawyer Yamazaki in a hospital bed... I'm glad he's safe", and "Anyway, as long as Professor Yamazaki, Rin and Masamune are happy and smiling, that's all that matters." were posted one after another.
