Toshiyuki Someya & Eito Konishi:Co-starring in the October drama series "UNREAL - Absurd General Store"

It has been revealed that actors Toshiyuki Someya and Eito Konishi will be co-starring in the October drama series "UNREAL - Absurd General Store" (TV Osaka and others). The fantasy drama is set in a suspicious antique general store, and after it airs, a stage production starring Someya and Konishi will also be produced.

The story is based on the manga "Absurd General Store UNREAL" (Shinshokan), written by Yodaka Kei and illustrated by Katayama Shu. Set in the shady antique general store "UNREAL," the story is a "daydream fantasy drama" that depicts the mysterious events that occur between the mysterious owner Yagio (Sometani) and a high school boy named Hamaya Muneya (Konishi) who works at a nearby cafe.

The script is written by Karasuma Natsume, head of the theater company "Botan Sabo" and known for the TV drama "The Unforgettable 'I' - Chain of Revenge" (NTV). The director is Hashimoto Hajime, known for the TV drama series "Aibou" and the film "The Detective is in the Bar." Additionally, in January 2026, a stage play titled "UNREAL - The Absurd General Store" will be performed, starring Sometani and Konishi.

The drama "UNREAL - Absurd General Store" will be broadcast on TV Osaka every Monday at 1:05 a.m. from October 13th, and on TV Aichi every Monday at 1:30 a.m. from the same day. It will also be broadcast on BS TV Tokyo from late night on October 16th.
