TV anime "A Tale of the Secret Saint" to air in 2026

It has been announced that the TV anime " A Tale of the Secret Saint, " based on a popular work by Toya that was born from the Shosetsuka ni Naro ," will be broadcast in 2026. The story is about a girl named Fiare Rude, who aspires to be a knight despite being told she has no talent for the sword, but who remembers her past life as a saint with extraordinary cheat abilities. A teaser PV featuring Fiare and other main characters has been released on YouTube.

The main staff was also announced, with Tomoe Makino as director, Deko Akao as series composer, Satomi Kurita as character designer, and Kenichiro Suehiro as music composer. FelixFilm will produce the film.

Director Makino commented, "I am honored to be involved in this work that is loved by so many fans. I will do my best to create a production that will satisfy both fans of the original work and those who are watching the anime."

Akao said, "How can we express the cuteness of the lively and active Fiera in the original work? How can we make the emotional changes in the people who are attracted to Fiera more interesting? And from what angle can we pitch the love in each of their hearts so that it will pierce everyone's lives...I've been thinking a lot about these things while working on the script. I'll do my best to make this anime that will bring a smile to your face and bring tears to your eyes...!"

Kurita commented, "I am honored to be able to participate. Of course the timeless story is interesting, but I also love the hilarious interactions between the characters, Fear and the others. I will do my best to make it a hit with fans and the original author."

Suehiro said, "While harboring a secret that she can't tell anyone, Fear continues to walk straight ahead on the path she believes in. There is a quiet, certain strength in her determination, and I was moved by it every time I read through the story. I carefully composed each song, keeping in mind how to encapsulate her hidden kindness, her occasional hesitation, and the warm relationship she has with the other characters. I hope that the music harmonizes with the world view and atmosphere of the work and will be memorable for viewers. I hope you will look forward to the broadcast."

The anime will feature Shion Wakayama as Fear, Shinosuke Tokudome as Xaviria, Yuichiro Umehara as Savith Nerve, and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Cyril Sutherland.
