The seventh episode of the TV drama "PJ ~Air Rescue Team~" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), starring actor Seiyo Uchino, will be broadcast on June 5th.
Tatsuya Hasebe (Aoto Watanabe), who aims to become a rescuer (commonly known as PJ, pararescue jumper), makes a false accusation about the power harassment of his instructor, Seiji Usami (Uchino), which develops into a major problem. The situation is resolved when Hasebe confesses honestly, but during the series of turmoil, Hasebe begins to think about something...
Nishina Ren (Hamada Gaku), a member of the rescue training team dispatched to the area affected by the large-scale heavy rain, is caught in a slope collapse and goes missing. While everyone is shocked, Usami strongly believes that his former student Nishina is still alive and acts bravely. Nishina's wife Mei (Kurokawa Tomoka) is also praying for her husband's return after receiving a call from the training team leader Horikoshi Shoichi (Shishido Kai).
When Usagi's ex-wife Nogi Mako (Kyoka Suzuki) and daughter Yuuna (Yoshikawa Ai) learn of the accident during the rescue operation through breaking news, their hearts are broken when they think of Nishina and Mei, who have just had a newborn baby...
The screenplay was written by Izumi Takahashi. The story depicts students aiming to become rescuers for the Air Self-Defense Force's Air Rescue Wing, an elite rescue unit known as the "last stronghold" for saving lives, as they go through rigorous training under the strict and unconventional instructor, Usami.
