Actor Sari Ito attended the 33rd Hashida Award ceremony (sponsored by the Hashida Cultural Foundation) held in Tokyo on May 10th. She received the award in recognition of her performance as the protagonist, Tomoko Inozume, in the NHK morning drama series "Asadora The Tiger and Her Wings " which will air in the first half of 2024. Ito spoke of her feelings about the work, saying, "I will always consider it an incredible asset in my life."
Ito said, "The opportunity to work on ' The Tiger and Her Wings 'The Tiger and Her Wings ' and meeting everyone involved during that time are all treasures to me." She expressed her gratitude, saying, "As we all discussed and shared various things every day to create the production, I was reminded of how much I love acting itself, and while there were days when I found it fun, there were also days when I found it difficult. The production is like an irreplaceable treasure, and I am happy to have been selected for this award."
The Hashida Award was established in 1993 by the Hashida Cultural Foundation, whose director was the late screenwriter Sugako Hashida. It is awarded to programs and individuals that have warmly portrayed the Japanese spirit and human interaction and contributed to the promotion and improvement of broadcasting culture.
