Scenes from the drama series " Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective " (TV Asahi, Tuesdays 9pm), starring actress Kanna Hashimoto , which begins on April 22nd, have been released. They show diagnostician Ameku Takao (Hashimoto) swiftly solving the mystery in front of patient Kagawa Shohei (Tsukaji Muga), who has been brought in with a mysterious illness, as well as internist Takanashi Yu (Miura Shohei) and intern Konoike Mai ( Mei Hata Mei), who cooperate with Takao.
The drama is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Mikito Chinen, which has sold over 3.6 million copies in total. This medical mystery is about the buddy team of Takao, a diagnostician with superhuman intelligence and memory, and Takanashi, an internist, who brilliantly solve mysterious cases and phenomena. Nozomi Sasaki plays Ameku Mazuru, Takao's sister and hospital administrative director, and Toshiro Yanagiba plays Ameku Owashi, Takao's uncle and "nemesis," the hospital director.
In the first episode, Kagawa, a truck driver who was involved in a traffic accident, is rushed to the hospital. He says that his hands started shaking and he lost consciousness immediately after eating a donut. The donuts Kagawa ate were made by a company that has recently been involved in a series of incidents involving pesticide contamination and mass vomiting by consumers. However, no matter how many tests they do, they find nothing abnormal with Kagawa's body. No poison is detected in the donuts recovered from the wrecked truck... and so the story unfolds.
